Why You Should Consider Bike Fitting
While many people think bike fits only benefit racers, cross-country mountain bikers, or triathletes, most cyclists want to get outside to experience the benefits of cycling and enjoy themselves. A proper bike fit doesn’t just tweak your performance—it transforms it.
Whether you’re cruising for leisure, commuting to work, or tackling weekend adventures, a bike fit is key to help you ride more comfortably and improve your performance. Here’s how a great bike fit transforms your cycling experience, no matter your goals:
Comfort and Joy: A well-fitted bike helps you ride longer without discomfort or fatigue. Whether you're exploring scenic trails or running daily errands, a comfy ride makes all the difference.
Injury Prevention: A personalized fit minimizes strain on your knees, back, neck, hands, and wrists, reducing the risk of injuries over time.
Efficiency for Every Ride: From casual cyclists to seasoned adventurers, a properly fitted bike ensures you’re pedaling with maximum efficiency, making every effort count.
Your Best Posture: Say goodbye to awkward positioning and hello to good posture. It’s not just about performance—it’s about feeling balanced and confident every time you hop on.
Health & Wellness: Cycling is one of the best ways to stay active. With a proper bike fit, you can ride comfortably for years, supporting your overall health and well-being.
Stay Motivated: When your bike feels like an extension of yourself, riding becomes a joy—not a chore. The right fit keeps you coming back for more rides, helping you stay fit and active.

How Retül Precision Fit Works
Step 1:
It starts with a physical assessment. Your fitter will evaluate your body’s unique needs, such as any limitations, past injuries, and pain points, along with your cycling goals.
Step 2:
Next, you’ll hop on your bike. The fitter will attach LED markers to eight key points on your body. These markers are tracked by the Retül Vantage Motion Capture system, which records three-dimensional, real-time data of your pedal stroke for a dynamic and precise fitting experience.
Step 3:
The captured data is analyzed using the Retül bike fit software. This reveals detailed insights—like degrees of movement—that can’t be seen with the naked eye. Your fitter will then fine-tune your bike setup based on the assessment, data, and your goals. Adjustments may include changes to your gear, such as saddle, handlebars, shoes, or footbeds.
Step 4:
Once the fit is finalized, your fitter will use the Retül Zin tool to create a digital blueprint of your bike’s setup. You’ll receive a comprehensive report with all the details, so you can refer back to it anytime after your fitting session.
